Biography of Rev. Eula C.
Gaddis, II - Pastor
He shares his ministry with his wonderful, beautiful and caring wife Enid Arleta (Jones) Gaddis of Detroit, MI. Sister Enid Gaddis works diligently in the Women’s Ministry and Mother’s Board. She is his constant companion and faithful prayer partner. Truly, a gift from God Himself! Pastor and Sister Gaddis have two wonderful children; (daughter) Serena Gabrielle and (son) Ayric Seth Gaddis.
God began calling him to preach at the age of nineteen. He taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, and ministered in many ways. Everything, but preach. Finally, after more than two years of running from the Lord’s Call God spoke these words to him “My Grace is sufficient!” It was settled! On Easter Sunday March 26, 1989 before his pastor (late) Dr. W.L. Patterson and the members of True Light Baptist Church he announced his call to preach. At age twenty-one on June 18, 1989 his first sermon was entitled “Small and Insignificant.” He received his license that evening. In the summer of 1993 the Holy Spirit led Pastor Gaddis through Dr. Warren McKinley to 715 Evergreen to unite with (late) Pastor Dr. Moses Garmon and The Prince of Peace MBC.
On January 6, 2002, Pastor and Sister Gaddis heeded God’s call to assist (late) Pastor Erskin Robertson and Friendship Baptist church. Pastor Gaddis served faithfully in teaching Children’s Church, mid-week Bible Study and Men’s Bible Study. On December 18, 2004, Pastor Gaddis accepted the call to fulfill the role of pastor at The Prince of Peace MBC.
Over the past nine plus years Pastor Gaddis and The membership of Prince of Peace have experienced great development and growth. Under Pastor Gaddis’ leadership the Church vehicles and the existing site were paid off, the church purchased adjacent properties for a 501c3 Community Development Center, and numerous ministries have been initiated and are thriving.
Pastor Gaddis has nothing to boast of himself but does boast in the Goodness of the Lord. Pastor Gaddis is a Master’s Degree candidate at Grand Rapids Theological Seminary in the area of Urban Ministry, he has numerous certifications, traveled throughout the U.S., Canada and Mexico, and most of his career has been in management. Pastor Gaddis is a self-employed consultant. None of that compares to the gifts God has given to him.
God has been good and is good to have taken such tender care of him. He has often said, “If I have seen further than other men, it is because I have stood on the shoulders of Giants.”
His mission and goal in life is to reconcile a lost world to Christ. Ecclesiastes 1:2; Romans 8:32. Aside from preaching the Word, there is nothing else!
