JAIL & PRISON MINISTRY

Prison Honor Camp Ministry located near Greenville, Michigan is in collaboration with the Kent County Jail. The Prince of Peace has partnered with the Prison Honor Camp to witness to young men that are incarcerated in the jail system. It is our goal to witness to and hopefully unite these men into the Body of Christ. We encourage the members of the church to attend this Outreach Ministry every First Sunday Evening. It is a time in which we not only preach to these men, we also have one-on-one fellowship opportunities. In many ways the Prison Ministry operates the same. Several of the ministers have taken it upon themselves to be approved through the Carson City Prison System to minister within the Carson City Prison.

MEL TROTTER MINISTRIES

Mel Trotter Ministries, located at 225 Commerce S.W. in Grand Rapids, is a Mission and Homeless Shelter for those who are less fortunate. In keeping with the Word of God, specifically those words of our Lord Jesus in Matthew 25, it is one of the priorities of the Prince of Peace to Minister to these individuals. The members of The Prince of Peace are welcome (and encouraged) to go to Mel Trotter Mission to have service with the residents. The service is limited to one hour and includes singing, praying, testifying, and, of course, the preaching of the Word of God! Another important aspect of this ministry is the one-on-one interaction of the residents of Mel Trotter and the members of Prince of Peace. This interaction allows for individualized attention where questions can be answered, encouragement can be given, and Christ can be shared at a personal level.

GUIDING LIGHT MISSION

Guiding Light Mission provides a safe haven for individuals in the community that may not have a permanent residence or able to provide meals for themselves. The Prince of Peace meets with these individuals to share the Gospel and bring hope to their desperate situations. We believe by holding the light of our Salvation can help to guide these individuals in the right direction.

BUS MINISTRY

The Church Bus is for those that have no mode of transportation or maybe their vehicle is out of order or in the repair shop. A special “RIDE LINE” has been set up: 452-2384. One only needs to call the Ride Line and leave their name, address, phone number, and indicate which service they want to attend, and the church bus will come and pick them up. We ask that anyone requiring a ride contact us one hour before service.

COMMUNITY IN PURPOSE MINISTRY

The “Community in Purpose Ministry” is a special community outreach ministry that takes the membership out of the confines of the church and into the community. Throughout the year the members of the church meet at a location in the height of the community to witness, share information, provide snacks and meet and greet the community. The “Purpose” of this ministry is to “seek and to save, that which is lost”.
