In reference to the leadership of the Church, we believe that there is “no” Scriptural evidence for Women as associated ministers, associated pastors, or pastors. Due to the ‘movement’ of women preachers across America, in January of 2001, the Prince of Peace of Peace adopted several resolutions that have been placed in the Church’s Constitution forbidding women in “any” of the above positions of authority in the Church. Although this may sound or seem archaic, against the grain, and not even politically correct, it “IS” however Biblically sound! ( i.e. 1 Timothy 2:11-14 ; 3:2; 1 Corinthians 11:3; 1 Corinthians 14:34-35; Ephesians 5:23 ) This does not mean that we are male dominant or do not believe that God cannot or does not use women, as this would be narrow minded as well as non-Biblical. God can, have, and does use women in many different capacities and in powerful ways; but there are limitations to which the male and female must operate within the bounds that God has set.

The Prince of Peace operates on three basic principles or “laws” that govern the Baptist Church; Love, Confession, and Forgiveness. These laws are supported by and deeply rooted in Scripture. God demonstrated His love for mankind by offering His Son as the redemptive sacrifice for man’s sins (John 3:16). The evidence of our conversion to Christ is in our level of love that we have for one another (1 John 3:14). Our love of God and for one another is not an option, but a “requirement” as clearly proclaimed throughout Scripture (e.g. 1 John 4:7-8, 11,16, 21; 1 John 5:2). The Scriptures also teach that it is confession by which we are saved (Romans 10:9-10) . It is by confession that we receive forgiveness for our sins (1 John 1:9) . We are to confess our faults one to another to put away sin and live in Christian harmony (James 5:16) . And it is through confession that we have evidence of our relationship with God (1 John 14:15) . Finally, we must be forgiving if we expect God to forgive us (Matthew 6:14-15; 18:21-22) .

In keeping with Biblical principles, God’s plan for financing His Church is clearly laid out in the third Chapter of the book of Malachi. It has plainly been God’s plan to finance His Church through the giving of Tithes and Offering from as far back as the day of the Children of Israel and the Levitical Priest. There is no evidence in the Scripture whatsoever that God ever changed this plan and this is the same principle upon which the Prince of Peace has operated for all the years of its existence. God asks for 10% of your earnings, which is 10% of your paycheck whether it is weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. God also asks for an offering, an offering from the heart based upon that which God has given you (Luke 6:38; 2 Corinthians 9:7). Giving in this manner allows the Church to hold dinners, picnics, trips, Vacation Bible School, etc. Giving of God the Tithe that He asked for and the offering is an equal share of the financial participation for all members.

There is much to learn about the Word of God and when it comes to teaching, we firmly believe in taking the members as deep as possible into the Word of God. Because of such, some shocking revelations have resulted. The most notable would be the pagan nature of key holidays that everyone has traditionally celebrated for so many years. The recognition of Halloween is another one of the most demonic atrocities that a Christian can commit against God.
